Building Use

The school district is happy to be able to provide a space for groups or individuals. We kindly ask that community members follow our guidelines in order to maintain our facilities.

Steps to Request

To request use of a building please complete the following…

1. Review availability on the building use calendar.

2. At least 48 hours before requested date, fill out the Building Use Form.

3. You will receive email confirmation regarding your request within 2 days.

4. Please follow all guidelines.

Guidelines

  1. Requests must be made at least 48 hours in advance; last-minute requests are generally not approved. The office/administration will send an email approving or denying the request.

  2. If students will participate in the building use, a parent/adult (21 or older) must monitor students at all times.

  3. The building will be left in the condition in which it was in when the activity started. This includes lights turned off, doors closed, floors and equipment cleaned, and equipment returned to its proper location.

  4. No other parts of the building should be utilized other than what is requested and approved.

  5. Fees may be charged based on group's non-profit status; the superintendent reserves the right to waive charges.

  6. Any damages will be billed to the responsible party. Any required cleaning done by school staff after the activity may be billed to the responsible party.

  7. School board policy prohibits the use of alcoholic beverages of any kind on the premises. No smoking is allowed in the school building or on school grounds.

  8. The Richland #44 School District is released from any liability for any injuries to any individuals or any equipment damaged during the activity.
