High School Students: Remember how much you loved Fun Night as an elementary kid? Will you please help us give that experience to the current elementary students? There are 25 student slots left to fill, so if you haven’t signed up yet, please put your name down for one or two shifts. Talk to a teacher or Sarah today to sign up. Thank you to those who have already volunteered! We can’t pull this off without your help so thank you so much for pitching in!
Celebrating Denise Plecity – Thursday, March 24th. Please wear PURPLE in honor of Denise, who worked for Richland School District for 25 years as a paraprofessional and a cook. She sadly lost her battle with cancer; students and staff are encouraged to wear purple on Thursday in honor of Denise’s favorite color.
The fitness center will be closed from 3:45pm-4:45pm on Wednesdays for the next several weeks. It is reserved for track practice during this time.
PTO Fun Night is back! This Friday, March 25, 5:00 – 8:00 pm at the high school. 5:00 pm community dinner and face painting. 6:00 – 8:00 pm games and concessions. Invite family, friends and neighbors to join us for a night of fun!
We are excited about the return of the PTO-sponsored Fun Night this Friday in Colfax. PTO believes that every child deserves a fun night. As such, PTO is looking for individuals or families who are willing to sponsor a child for whom the cost might inhibit their attendance. Your donation will go to providing dinner and game tickets to families who may otherwise have to skip this night of school and community fun.
If interested in donating…
If you are interested in donating, you can donate online or write a check to Richland #44 PTO (turn in to either office). The deadline for donations is this Wednesday at 4pm so we can determine the amount we can distribute to each sponsored student. The PTO is a 501c3 nonprofit and can provide their nonprofit information to donors for tax purposes.
If in need of a sponsorship…
If a sponsorship would allow your child(ren) to attend, please email me by Wednesday at 4pm. The names of children receiving sponsorships are confidential and will be limited only to necessary school personnel. The names are not shared with PTO.
