Dollars for Scholars Penny Wars is back!   February 2 through February 9.  Buckets will be at both the high school and elementary school in or near the offices.  GAIN points by adding pennies and bills and LOWER other classroom totals by adding SILVER coins!!   The money raised will be added to the class totals for a scholarship in their senior year!  The class in the elementary and one class in the high school with the highest points total will win an ice cream party.  ANYONE can add money to the buckets.  There will also once again be buckets at the two home basketball games during the week of Penny Wars!!  Help the classes out!!  Thanks!

 

Seniors:  Dollars for Scholars scholarships are open for North Dakota now until April 1 and our local chapter scholarships will open February 1 through the 18th!!  Be sure to get your profiles done and start applying for scholarships!   If you have any questions, please contact one of the DFS members!!

 

Volunteers needed next weekend for Colts Classic

The PTO needs your help with our upcoming girls 5/6 grade basketball tourney on Jan 22. Please sign up here if you can. We still need a number of clock and book positions filled.

Richland #44 is currently in need of referees for elementary and junior high basketball. If interested or for more information on dates and pay, please contact Activities Director Spencer Timm at 701-372-3713.

 

Substitutes for Kitchen Staff Needed!! – We are currently looking for Cook subs!  If interested, please contact either school office for more details.  Pay is $12/hour.

 

Substitute Teachers – $120/day plus School Lunch. ND substitute teaching licenses require: 48 hours of college coursework (degree not required), Background check, and Online application. If interested, contact either of our offices. Elementary – 701-553-8321 High School – 701-372-3713.

 

Route Subs – $70/day or $35/route. Activity driving $14/hour. Requirements; Class B License with school bus endorsement; background check and finger printing; physical completed every 2 years; random drug/alcohol testing. Apply here

COMMUNITY INFORMATION:

Skating Lessons at Colfax Gardens Ice Rink are back! If you are new to skating or would like to learn some new tricks, get signed up for these free will donation skating lessons! You will be able to enjoy skating after these helpful lessons. NO SKATES NO PROBLEM, contact Jon Erdahl at 701-541-0905 if you are in need of skates, there are multiple sizes and multiple pairs of donated skates available at NO COST to you!

Saturday, January 22nd, 2022.

10:30-11:00 am: Beginner Lessons- these are for skaters who have little to no skating experience. Skaters will learn basic skating techniques

11:15-11:45 am: Intermediate Lessons- these are for skaters who can independently skate across the ice. Skaters will learn gliding, backwards skating, simple turns & edges.

Great Plains Harmony, under the direction of Sheila Childs, former Richland #44 music teacher, will be performing a midwinter gospel show at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 29 at Eagle Valley Evangelical Free Church, rural Christine, ND.    Free will offering will be taken.    Everyone welcome!
